Jan Karon is coming!

Jan Karon is coming to our next Chapel Book Event!
I am beyond excited. She's coming on the 'Opening Day' of the ninth and final book in the Mitford series, "Light from Heaven."
All the details are here, on my church's blog.
We've worked so hard - and with joy! - on eight Book Teas for these books. It was a little dream of mine that she'd come to one of them. But I never imagined it would be this big. God gives great gifts!
(Did I mention that I'm excited about this??)

Ok, that is just too beyond cool, beyond anything. How much is it to fly to Joizee?
This just made my day. This is so cool. I have goose bumps! Where do I get a ticket?
Robin, there are no tickets - you just show up! You'd better be there :-)
And Amy, I'll let it go that no one here says Joizee ;-) and it would be *great* if you could come :-) but if not, JK is also speaking in Dallas on Nov. 17th at Highland Park United Methodist Church on the campus of Southern Methodist University - I know I met you in Dallas, but I can't remember, are you from Texas?
OK, Amy, just read your blog again (I enjoy it!!) and saw your new church is in Texas, so unless you have some wild commute to church, you're probably there, too. So - maybe you can see JK in Dallas. It won't be as fun as ours, though ;-)
Donna-Jean, Your enthusiasm lifts me up, lady! I've linked.
(And I hope I got the towns right for the two churches. Let me know if I goofed.)
that's very exciting...i'm very happy for you about this - it seems like a great "payoff" (in the best sense of the word) for all of the hard and fun work you've done with your teas...here's to hoping it's a great success...by the way, i never remember anyone really saying "joizee", do you?!?
(joizee) - Only in mimicking what they think is a Jersey accent (sorry, Amy!). Now if someone wants a real Jersey accent, they should try "Hayuzdoin? Want some kaw-fee?" ;-)
