Go, Pappy!

My father-in-law is an unusual sort of guy, kind of the exception to a lot of rules.

An article about his softball team is here - telling all about the senior team he's in. I know the quote is true about these guys having the same grace as thirty years ago. (Come to think of it, you should see my father-in-law in hockey skates. Fluid, smooth, easy speed. And he's a drummer, too. And married for fifty-seven years. Yes, he's an unusual sort of guy.)

There was one error in the article, though. They listed George as eighty-one.

Come on, now. Gimme a break. Eighty-one, and playing softball regularly?

They didn't get it right. This slugger (known as 'Pappy' to his four grandkids) is actually -

...eighty-two. And a half.

That is awsome!! I love older folks who do not act like it. My dad at 77 can still cut a rug, play with the grandkids and keep up with us (most days)

Neat. Very neat. There is a magazine that I used to have a subscription to called "Geezer Jock" for older people who are extremely active....I always found that neat & I am not a senior.
